seventeen syllables
we were taught in grade school
is a good haiku
–
the 5-7-5 rule
in the Western world’s not
quite right – nor am I!
–
just a few lines
catching a glimpse of nature
is the real point
–
grandma — all the relatives gone
in her easy chair
snoring
