can’t find my notebook!
already in bed
birthday pizzas!
cold overcast day
stretched out all flat
dizzying circles
a haiku soliloquy; grandma
haiku’s in the air
feel it dancing around me
but can’t grab the words!

seventeen syllables
we were taught in grade school
is a good haiku
–
the 5-7-5 rule
in the Western world’s not
quite right – nor am I!

just a few lines
catching a glimpse of nature
is the real point

grandma — all the relatives gone
in her easy chair
snoring
